Jana Wells, Licensed Acupuncturist; M.S. Traditional Oriental Medicine; Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, NCCAOM; M.S. Physiology
Jana is a licensed acupuncturist in Hawaii, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is nationally board certified by the NCCAOM as a diplomate of oriental medicine. She has a master degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City and degrees in biochemistry and physiology from Rutgers University. Jana is also an instructor at the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu’s Chinatown.
An understanding of both eastern and western medicine is the core of Jana’s practice.
Jana began practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbology in 2006 at the Pacific College clinic in New York City and has interned at the Institute for Palliative Medicine in San Diego and the North Jersey Center for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in New Jersey. She began her solo practice in 2010 during which time she also practiced at the Bellewood Wellness Center in rural New Jersey. Jana also has over a decade of experience as a research biochemist.
In addition to practicing and teaching, Jana holds a pilot’s license as a commercial hot air balloonist. She is currently learning to surf on Oahu’s south shore.
